Summary: | This article aims to show the results of research on teaching practices and perceptions of teaching management leader, within the city of Medellin prize to the quality of education; this research belongs to a large macro project that seeks to assess the impact of the prize. With the processed information found and we got closer to the theoretical perception and of course the actions of teaching management leader in educational institution seeking his leadership a high level of quality in education. The data collected come from the applications, interviews and focus groups in the three IE object of study, this input information indicated us a way through the category leadership and their components (sub) which gave reason for practices and perceptions leadership by school administrators from the three educational institutions that were nominated for the prize; we saw a brief history pertinent to show leadership through the most recent time and its relationship with the school. Step by step the article will show the particularities, similarities and differences, with respect to those found components, these are: ethics, research, participation, self-evaluation and communication. These helped develop an analysis and discussion of the role of teachers’ management of very high importance in the school. Finally, the article suggests the prize, lead to a stage of Evaluative self-reflection that leads to deeper explicitly in the leadership of teaching management leader, towards promoting the exercise of one who realizes the quality of education in IE. |
