Summary: | Given the ignorance and the restlessness present in the music environment about the differences in a double bass when being interpreted with one of its two types of arc (French or German), it’s decided to carry out an investigation project, through which it is desired to acoustically characterize the Double bass and the way in which it radiates the sound depending on the used arc, this, using a p-u probe, in order to obtain the data of sound pressure and particle velocity of a Double bass, and then, using an algorithm developed by the company Microflown Technologies, the sound intensity of each measurement is obtained. Once the results of the measurement have been obtained, a statistical analysis is carried out to check or disprove the hypotheses made in advance; then, a comparative analysis of sound radiation between the double bass is performed, being interpreted with the German arc and or with the French arc |
