Summary:Introduction: Sports injuries are sudden events that can appear at any time in the athlete's life, which is why it is extremely important to take into account which are the injuries that occur most frequently in skating and weightlifting sports; It is evident that a great variety of injuries can be found that can affect the performance of the athlete, thus causing ligamentous injuries, musculoskeletal alterations without leaving aside joint involvement; among other. With the development of this research, the aim is to determine which are the injuries in the aforementioned sports, in order to identify the factors that influence the presence of sports injuries and to think about future prevention programs. Objective: To characterize the most frequent injuries in skating and weightlifting athletes in a sports center in Cartagena. Methodology: to carry out this monograph, an electronic bibliographic search was carried out in databases such as: Dialnet, pubmed, Science direct; This search was carried out in August, September and October 2020.
