Summary: | This research aims to address issues such as the improvement of the territory and the connectivity of the periphery with the city, based on a model of urban articulation in the north-western area of Mede-llín, developed from areas important for the cohesion of a particular territory such as the social fabric, dynamics and morphology; the project result addresses strategies such as: conscious mobility, qua-lity public spaces, the connections between facilities, public spaces and dwellings, the compact city that grows inwards and generates greater relations within the territory, the recovery and exaltation of the ecological network of the place, the generation of a system of centralities and mixing of uses, and its importance in generating transverse routes as a connection element at metropolitan scale. These strategies were generated from the results of an investigation of the place, which revealed different problems associated with the lack of cohesion between public spaces, facilities and nodes of the place. The methodology addressed was the development of an analysis of the territory, together with an investigation of referents that helped to generate a design guidelines, which resulted in the development of a master plan that responds to the needs of the place, but also serve as a basis for future urban developments, mainly within the metropolitan area. |
