Summary: | The present analysis work consists of identifying the natural characteristics of the plant, by observing and incorporating references and systems models through an analysis of the form, structure and funtion. The fundamental thing in this research is to have the main aspects and transfer them to a categorization to finally apply them in a coherent way to a possible use. The problem of the investigation arose due to the lack of application of biological principles to the design. In the disciplines of design, responsable for new approaches to material culture, we rarely find proposals based on the forms and structures of nature and, in turn, solve the problems and needs posed by and for humanity. This concern led to an analysis that results in a classification. That encourages designers to devise a reinterpretation of this method for new and future objects. Consequently, we have had before us a magnificent opportunity to inspire us and to apply a great number of forms and structures in the design of new useful objects for the life of the human being. The analysis was made based on the family of the nymphaeaceae plants, which are presented as distributed plants in a tropical and temperate environments. Its anatomical features are a rhizome immersed in the mud from which protrude the petioles that carry leaves and flowers, which float in the water or are totally submerged. These characteristics are evidenced by a classification of orthomorphic, cryptomorphic and mixed forms. We also investigate the generative and growth systems in three-dimensional vision. The above is assigned to a result and the conclusions that were used for the tentative purposes for the production of utensils and containers that fulfill the function of step by step in the preparation of food from the phase of the ingredients to the presentation were categorized. |
