Description
Summary:In this work, the methods for transforming road traffic noise NMPB Routes 96 and CNOSSOSEU inthe Aburr ́a Valley, used to prepare the strategic noise maps of the Aburr ́a Valley for the years 2014and 2018, were compared, respectively. The comparision was made by analyzing the differences of theinput variables, calculating the sound pressure levels and comparing these by varying th values of theinput variables. Subsequently, a simulation run will be carried out in controlled areas of the Aburr ́aValley in order to obtain strategic noise maps that will show the behavior of traffic noise accordingto the variation of the input variables. It was found that the CNOSSOS-EU method turned out tobe the most suitable for making the prediction in the Aburr ́a Valley and that it takes into accountgreater factors, mainly the differentiated categorization of two-wheeled vehicles.
