The project involves a participative design process in COVARIC's community, whose direction is within the university Católica de Pereira, where disciplinary design methodologies were applied with a social responsibility approach.El artículo es parte del proyecto de investigación del programa en Diseño, a través de la sistematización del proyecto que se desarrolló en el taller de diseño social del primer semestre de 2011. Se generaron propuestas de apropiación del espacio público en uno de los subtramos urbanos del río Consota, junto al antiguo parque recreacional ElVergel de la ciudad de Pereira.
