In the United Kingdom, Brexit has seen a whole continent in shock after neo-nationalist campaigns resulted in an unexpected referendum result to prompt the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. In the United States, Donald Trump has become the country’s 45th president after an unprecedented campaign filled with neo-nationalist remarks and promises. A case study will be used to investigate what it means for the future of multilateralism if these powerful nations shift towards neo-nationalist values and act upon them. SÍNTESIS. En años recientes, grupos, partidos y líderes neonacionalistas en el Reino Unido y los Estados Unidos han ganado mucho apoyo del público, en particular, El UKIP (Partido para la Independencia del Reino Unido), Vote Leave y Donald Trump. En el Reino Unido, Brexit ha visto un continente entero en shock después de que campañas neonacionalistas causaran en un resultado inesperado de un referendo para solicitar la salida del Reino Unido de la Unión Europea. En los Estados Unidos, Donald Trump se ha vuelto el 45 o presidente del país luego de una campaña sin precedentes llena de comentarios y promesas neonacionalistas.
