In this paper it is covered the audiovisual flow sector in Colombia, emphasizing in films and television. The delimitation of the topic obeys to the fact that this is the sector that allows to generate bigger economies of scale having to feed constantly programming or exhibitions, to have wide distribution circuits and bigger employment structures. From some comparative elements with what happens in other countries regarding to the cultural cinematography and television industries, a panorama that allows to know widely the current state of the audiovisual issue in the country could be traced.El estudio de la cultura, y especialmente de las maneras en que ésta se inserta en las dinámicas económicas de producción y circulación, hace necesario realizar un análisis de cada uno de los sectores que la conforman. En este artículo se aborda el sector de flujo audiovisual en Colombia, enfatizando en el cine y la televisión. La delimitación del tema obedece al hecho de que es este sector el que permite generar mayores economías de escala al tener que alimentar constantemente programaciones o exhibiciones, poseer circuitos de distribución amplios y unas estructuras de empleo mayores.
