The importance of the sector is justified by its presence in the economical structure for almost one hundred years and its economic and social impact through the history of the city and the department. Here are described the systems of human resources, administration, production, marketing and finance. I confirm the opportunities that Colombia and specially Risaralda have starting from what it means the American market as the first commercial partner.Este artículo permite un acercamiento al sector de las confecciones en el departamento de Risaralda, describe las características estructurales del sector, identifica las oportunidades que se le presentan a las empresas que compiten en él, la capacidad estratégica tiene Risaralda como confeccionista. La importancia del sector se justifica por su presencia en la estructura económica durante casi cien años y su impacto económico y social a través de la historia de la ciudad y el departamento. Se describen los sistemas de administración de recursos humanos, producción, mercadeo y finanzas.
