Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2021La memoria juega un papel importante en la dinámica de las ciudades, para entender la estructura social se vuelve indispensable analizar todo lo que ha afectado positiva o negativamente una ciudad, tal es el caso de Lagos en Nigeria. Para entender su estructura social se realizó un estudio comparativo de los acontecimientos actuales, pero también de todo lo que ha vivido a través de la historia pues es allí donde realmente logra entender el vínculo entre la memoria colectiva y la arquitectura como la conocen hoy en día, pues, aunque la comunidad intente mantener sus raíces, si no existe un espacio físico que pueda contener los recuerdos esta memoria está destinada a desaparecer. Para entender toda la dinámica de lagos se analizó Makoko. Esta es una comunidad que recoge toda la memoria y ha mutado para que su cultura perdure a través del tiempo, manteniendo consigo la cultura lacustre que ha sido su motor económico. A partir de entender su pasado, y cómo, generación tras generación, han mantenido la memoria colectiva viva, se plantea un dispositivo que hable de esta relación pero que a su vez responda a las necesidades actuales del lugar. / Abstract: Memory plays an important role in the dynamics of cities. In order to understand the social structure, it becomes indispensable to analyze everything that has positively or negatively affected a city; such is the case of Lagos in Nigeria. To understand its social structure, a comparative study was carried out between current events and everything it has lived through in its history, given this is where one can manage to understand the link between collective memory and architecture as they know it today. Although the community tries to maintain its roots, if there is no physical space that can contain the memories, this memory is destined to disappear. To understand all the dynamics of Lagos, Makoko was analyzed. This is a community that collects all memory and has mutated in such a way its culture has lasted through time, maintaining with it the lake culture that has been its economic engine.
