The reflection invites educators to defy the indolent reason and combat the waste of social experience, understanding this indolence as a resignation to the infinite and preset future that has education immersed in a monocultures world. Therefore, an invitation is made in order to advance into the liberating ecologies proposed by De Sousa, and linked to the Pedagogy for Liberation presented by Freire.Este texto toma como base las razones y las ecologías que expone el sociólogo portugués Boaventura De Sousa Santos (1940), así como el despliegue que Paulo Freire (1921-1997) hace sobre el proceso educativo enfatizando en la labor del docente. La reflexión invita a los educadores a desafiar la razón indolente y a combatir el desperdicio de la experiencia social, entendiendo esta indolencia como la resignación ante el futuro infinito y preestablecido que tiene a la educación inmersa en un mundo de monoculturas.
