In this context, magazines operate as documentary communication instruments into the framework of education and pedagogy; from which the various analyzes of the Law of Bradford, Lotka’s Law and the Price Law were made. However, the results achieved in 147 researches in education and pedagogy are still inadequate according to the analyzed records. En este artículo se presenta los resultados bibliométricos producto de un acercamiento metodológico y epistemológico a las transiciones ocurridas en el campo de la investigación educativa, a partir de las publicaciones científicas de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, la Universidad de Antioquia y la Universidad de la Sabana. En este contexto, las revistas operan como instrumentos de comunicación documental, en el entramado de la educación y la pedagogía, a partir de los cuales se realizaron los diferentes análisis de la Ley de Bradford, la Ley de Lotka, y la Ley de Price. Sin embargo, los resultados alcanzados en las 147 investigaciones en educación y pedagogía siguen siendo insuficientes, según los registros analizados.
