This is articulated with the theory of Amalio Blanco groups in order to account for the operation of gangs in the city of Dosquebradas and the implications for young people who are part of these groups. We conclude that gangs act as groups make sense of life and sense of belonging to those who choose to integrate. An interview was conducted with the Magistrate Zapata Eisenhower's interest supplement existing information on the operation of gangs in Pereira and Dosquebradas.En el artículo se analizan los procesos de socialización, retomando la teoría de la Construcción social de la realidad. Lo anterior se articula con la teoría de sistema, grupo y poder, con el propósito de dar cuenta del funcionamiento de las pandillas en la ciudad de Dosquebradas y las implicaciones para los jóvenes que hacen parte de dichos grupos. Se realizó una entrevista con el Juez de Paz Eisenhower Zapata, con el interés de complementar la información existente acerca del funcionamiento de las pandillas en Pereira y Dosquebradas.
