This paper just seeks to get the reader’s attention around a topic of supreme importance today: that of the political legitimacy of their rulers.El gobierno de Alfonso López Michelsen sentó las bases para el desarrollo de una economía agroexportadora en Colombia, sin embargo el manejo dado a la cuestión agraria, estaba en contravía a las expectativas sociales del campo por la misma lógica capitalista con que se pretendió desarrollar, es por esto que el pretendido gobierno de la esperanza, basó todo su empeño en relegitimar su gobierno a través del DRI y del PAN.
