The presence of FDI in Argentina since the nineties is a result of reforms that reduced the size of the state and expanded the market, bringing economic growth.El presente trabajo describió y analizó los montos, la procedencia y los destinos de la IED en Argentina en el periodo 1988 – 2008.Apartir de la consulta de pronunciamientos oficiales del gobierno y las cifras de la CEPAL se halló que Argentina es un receptor de IED proveniente de Estados Unidos, España y Brasil, la IED se dirige a manufactura y algunos servicios tecnológicos (recientemente).
