This important task is not only of the musician, but also of the priest and the faithful who must maintain and preserve the great treasure of liturgical music in the Church. Aspects such as the enculturation of the gospel and the understanding of the different cultural elements will be necessary for the present reflection.Desde la Iglesia primitiva se ha observado el papel que ha desempeñado la música en el desarrollo de la Liturgia. Este texto da cuenta de su papel fundamental, reconociendo su aporte a la hora de vivir el momento de la Liturgia de una manera más plena, ya que su función es ayudar a unir las plegarias de un pueblo que clama a su Señor. Esta importante tarea no es solo del músico, sino también del sacerdote y de los fieles, quienes deben mantener y preservar el tesoro de la música litúrgica en la Iglesia.
