That is why since ages ago, Universities and investigation centers have discovered huge working potential surrounding computer webs, which makes an easier collaborative access to those resources that would not be possible in other circumstances at not any reason. This way, the present article presents the evolution, research and target of the High Velocity Academics Networks, expecting to generate a space of analysis and discussion about their opportunities and potentials.El desarrollo de las comunicaciones ha permitido generar una nueva dinámica en la colaboración e intercambio de la información, tanto para organizaciones de tipo comercial como académicas. Es así como desde hace algunos años las Universidades y centros de investigación han descubierto un enorme potencial de trabajo en torno a las Redes de Computadores, ya que éstas les facilitan el acceso colaborativo a recursos que por distintas razones en otras oportunidades no se tendrían disponibles.
