Therefore the behavior ofthe minimum wage in the Colombian coffee growing axis is studied.El artículo estudia la política de salario mínimo en Colombia los antecedentes en el contexto internacional y el surgimiento en el país, las consecuencias legales y económicas y sus efectos tanto en la dinámica empresarial como en la política laboral. A pesar de la regulación nacional los efectos y su impacto en términos reales es diferente para todas las regiones del país. Las características y condiciones socioeconómicas propias de cada región hacen que existan diferenciales significativos en los ingresos reales recibidos por los trabajadores asalariados en cada una de las ciudades.
