Mas del 80% de las viviendas informales en Pereira están emplazadas en zonas de riesgo, zonas de riesgo no mitigable o zonas de protección ambiental, esto debido a la crisis que vive gran parte de la población colombiana, familias no cuentan con los recursos para construir o alquilar una vivienda y recurren a construir en estos lugares. Esto es causal de grandes problemas tales como lo son la contaminación ambiental, el riesgo que corren los habitantes por construir con materiales que no son aptos y el lugar en el que se emplazan. Este es el caso del Barrio Rocío Bajo sector en las familias en su mayoría están emplazadas sobre el borde del rio en zonas de riesgo no mitigable y de protección ambiental, haciendo que tengan riesgo constante de inundación ya que la zona es de gran peligro para los habitantes. Esto conlleva a pérdidas materiales y en el peor de los casos humanas, además de esto la contaminación del rio se vuelve protagonista ya que en este se están depositando residuos. Es aquí donde encontramos la oportunidad de proyectar una vivienda de fácil construcción que mitigue estos riesgos, cuente con todos los servicios, logre darle un lugar digno para habitar a las familias del sector y se recupere parte del borde del rio. Abstract:More than 80% of the informal housing in Pereira is located in risk zones, unmitigable risk zones or environmental protection zones. This is due to the crisis that a large part of the Colombian population is going through; families do not have the resources to build or rent a house and resort to building in these places. This is the cause of major problems such as environmental contamination, the risk that the inhabitants run by building with unsuitable materials and the place where they are located. This is the case of the Rocío Bajo neighborhood, where most of the families are located on the edge of the river in areas of unmitigable risk and environmental protection, causing a constant risk of flooding since the area is very dangerous for the inhabitants. This leads to material losses and, in the worst case, human losses. In addition to this, the river pollution becomes a protagonist since waste is being deposited in the river. It is here where we find the opportunity to project an easy to build housing that mitigates these risks, has all the services, gives a decent place to live to the families of the sector and recovers part of the river's edge.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
