Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2022En el presente trabajo se expone una investigación que se centra en conocer, interpretar y ejecutar el análisis de una ciudad, su memoria y su representación a través del cine, se cuestiona cómo las personas foráneas conocen y construyen mentalmente un imaginario de ciudad, una ciudad que nunca han visitado antes. El propósito fundamental de esta investigación se enfoca en el entendimiento de la memoria urbana la cual es proyectada a través del cine, con el fin de analizar la configuración de la memoria de un lugar que puede ser interpretado para crear escenarios basados en la memoria, a partir de un recorrido visual del arte cinematográfico; que representa la arquitectura de la ciudad en el cine. Se usará New York como ciudad referente a nivel mundial teniendo presente que no es la ciudad sino lo que la ciudad representa para quienes no la han visitado, el recorrido visual se interpreta desde la película Manhattan y A rainy day in New York ambas del director Woody Allen. Se utilizará el cine como herramienta de análisis con el objetivo de establecer que el cine tiene la capacidad de construir la memoria y el significado de un lugar, lo cual permite entender que la arquitectura puede ser un producto del análisis del cine, ya que la arquitectura no existe sin la memoria. / Abstract: This article deals with an investigation that focuses on knowing, interpreting and executing the analysis of a city, its memory and its representation through cinema, it questions how foreign people know and mentally construct an imaginary city, a city they have never visited before. The fundamental purpose of this research focuses on the understanding of urban memory which is projected through cinema, in order to analyze the configuration of the memory of a place that can be interpreted to create scenarios based on memory, through starting from a visual tour of cinematographic art; representing the architecture of the city in the cinema. New York will be used as a world reference city, keeping in mind that it is not the city but what the city represents for those who have not visited it, the visual tour is interpreted from the film Manhattan and A rainy day in New York, both by director Woody Allen.
