The new index is that, besides being designed for a specific population segment, focus on a narrow and utilitarian relationship between education and ICT, overcoming the simple access and use, and considering the favorable factors for digital inclusion. KeyEl artículo presenta un índice para evaluar la situación digital de jóvenes rurales escolarizados, llamado insidir-jes, que integra tres índices (de acceso, de uso y de factores favorables). Para ello, después de hacer un corto esbozo de lo digital en el sector rural, se aborda la brecha digital y su medición, para terminar con un bosquejo del índice, acompañado de una prueba realizada con 78 estudiantes de cinco instituciones educativas rurales. La novedad del índice es que, además de estar diseñado para un segmento poblacional específico, señala una relación estrecha y utilitaria entre educación y TIC, superando el simple acceso y uso, al considerar la apropiación y los factores favorables para la inclusión digital.O artigo apresenta um índice para avaliar a situação digital de jovens rurais escolarizados, chamado INSIDIR-JES, que integra três índices (acesso, de uso e de fatores favoráveis). Para este, depois de fazer um curto esboço do digital no setor rural, se trata a brecha digital e sua medição, para terminar com um esboço do índice, acompanhado de uma prova realizada com 78 estudantes de cinco instituições educativas rurais.
