The youth does not exist by itself, it is a historical and cultural construction which is relatively new, however, the prevaling representation in the official speeches about it, does not correspond to what we can see in the real young people in our national and regional context. That representation nowadays acquires new connotations by the form in which the technologies transform the juvenile subjectivity and at the same time, by the form in which such subjectivities transform the technological mediations.La manera de comprender la noción de juventud y de comprender a los sujetos jóvenes hoy se está transformando vertiginosamente, entre otros factores, por aquel que se presenta de manera sintética en este asunto y que es fruto de una investigación fenomenológica adelantada por la UCPR: por la interacción cotidiana de los jóvenes con las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación. La juventud no existe per se, sino que es una construcción histórico cultural relativamente reciente, no obstante, la representación predominante en los discursos oficiales al respecto, no corresponde con lo que podemos apreciar en los jóvenes de carne y hueso en nuestro contexto nacional y regional.
