Signifi cantdifferences were found (p <0.01) in the percentageof risky choices for the fi rst blocks of the task inthe ovulatory phase. Despite the intersubjectivevariability and sample size, this fi nding indicates thathormone levels modulate emotional learning or riskaversion.Este artículo pretende aproximarnos a una lectura interpretativa particular del escritor mexicano Alfonso Reyes Ochoa. Se expone la idea que el poeta y prosista latinoamericano es el demiurgo de la cultura y la ensayística continental de mediados del siglo XX. El escrito desarrolla esta propuesta interpretativa a partir de la gestión cultural de Alfonso Reyes en América Latina, la propia fi gura utilizada por el autor al referirse al ensayo como el “centauro de los géneros”, y de la analogía con el Prometeo de Esquilo, ya trabajada por otros académicos estudiosos de su obra.
