It is proposed to state some critics to the concept and to point out an alternative look in front of the comprehension of the representational processes that imply this concept. It is discussed the substantialization of the mind, as an entity with its own essence and it is tried to generate a re-statement of the same one from the concepts of semiosis, sign and mediation. Finally an example about the literature about the dichotomous of the psychological is given and it is tried to present a reflection that do not center the discussion in the body- mind problem.El concepto de Teoría de la Mente ha sido uno de los más importantes en la discusión en Psicología en estos últimos años. Se propone plantear algunas críticas al concepto y señalar una mirada alternativa frente a la comprensión de los procesos representacionales que implican este concepto. Se cuestiona la subtancialización de la mente, como entidad con esencia propia y se trata de generar un replanteamiento del mismo a partir de los conceptos de semiosis, signo y mediación.
