The methodological process, based on Participatory Action Research, allowed us to apply innovation and design models, taking advantage of the available technology and resources, the creative potential and cultural influence of a group of eight jewelery artisans. As a final result, a collection of jewelry was created in a participatory manner.El artículo propone la generación de modelos metodológicos para el diseño participativo de líneas de joyería, con aplicación en tres comunidades joyeras de Risaralda, para el fortalecimiento de los eslabones más débiles de la cadena de valor oro-joya, que son el diseño, la innovación y la posibilidad de generar valores agregados. El proceso metodológico, basado en la Investigación Acción Participante, permitió aplicar modelos de innovación y diseño, aprovechando la tecnología y recursos disponibles, el potencial creativo y la influencia cultural de un grupo de ocho artesanos joyeros.
