Facultad de Ciencias Humanas, Sociales y de la Educación, Pereira, 2022La comunidad indígena Kamëntsà Biyá es uno de los tantos grupos étnicos que habitan en la amazonia colombiana, específicamente en Putumayo, Colombia. En este departamento hay presencia de varios miembros de la comunidad, esparcidos a lo largo del territorio. En ese sentido, se halla al resguardo indígena Kamëntsà Biyá en la vereda Villa Nueva en Mocoa donde el fenómeno migratorio está presente en diversos aspectos. Es así que se pretende cumplir con la función de presentar, exponer, narrar y mostrar los roles que cumplen algunas de las mujeres presentes en la comunidad como ´mama´ yagecera, partera, sobadora, yerbatera y artesana. The Kamëntsà Biyá indigenous community is one of the many ethnic groups inhabiting the Colombian Amazon, specifically in Putumayo, Colombia. This region is home to various members of the community, dispersed throughout the territory. Within this context, the Kamëntsà Biyá indigenous reserve in the Villa Nueva village in Mocoa is characterized by the presence of a migratory phenomenon, which impacts diverse aspects of community life. This article aims to present, discuss, narrate, and showcase the roles played by women in the community, such as traditional healers, midwives, masseuses, herbalists, and artisans. By examining their contributions within the migratory context, this study sheds light on the vital roles played by these women in preserving cultural traditions, community health, and sustainable livelihoods.
