Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas, Pereira, 2010NLB SURTICREDITOS es una empresa comercializadora de muebles y electrodomésticos en la ciudad de Pereira, la cual carecía de un sistema de inventarios que se convirtió en el eje de intervención para el desarrollo de la práctica profesional. Después de estudiar los planteamientos teóricos sobre los sistemas de inventarios se llego a la conclusión que el sistema de inventarios adecuado para esta compañía seria los inventarios ABC. Por ende, se ejecuto un trabajo con las ventas que tuvo la empresa desde los meses Julio del 2009 hasta el mes de Febrero del 2010. Ello permitió realizar una clasificación bimestral real de las referencias en ABC dependiendo de su nivel de rotación al igual que el nivel de inversión en el que incurre la empresa. En este sentido, se recomienda a la organización adaptar este sistema de inventarios para acrecentar niveles de seguridad sobre el inventario dependiendo de su clasificación; además de trabajar con productos que cumpla con las expectativas del cliente para poder así elevar los niveles de venta. Es decir, realizar inversiones dependiendo del nivel de rotación de cada producto para no poseer tantas referencias en la categoría C. /Abstract: NLB SURTICREDITOS is a commercial company of furniture and appliances in the city of Pereira, which lacked an inventory system that became the central point of intervention for the development of the professional internship. After studying the theoretical analysis on inventory systems it came to the conclusion that the appropiate inventory system for this company would be the ABC Inventories therefore, we carried out a project with the sales that the company had from the months of July 2009 until the month of February 2010. This allowed us to make a real bimonthly classification of the references in ABC depending on its level of rotation as well as the level of investment in which the company incurs. In this regard, it is recommended that the organization adapts this system of inventories to increase the levels of security on the inventory depending of its classification, besides working with products that meet the customer`s expectations to be able to raise the levels of sales. In other words, making investments depending on the level of rotation of each product so that the company wouldn´t have so many references in the category C.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
