The results of these studiesshow that the majority of analyzed countries present aconditional convergence phenomenon in unemploymentratesUsualmente el fenómeno de la convergencia se ha entendido como el acercamiento de los niveles de renta per cápita entre las regiones y países; sin embargo, durante los últimos años han surgido trabajos a nivel teórico y empírico que abordan el tema de la convergencia en las variables de empleo, más precisamente, en las tasas de desempleo.
