At the end of the information-collecting process this study concluded that only sizeable firms integrate formal environmental systems in their organizations, and an average percentage of these companies applied techniques or strategies of PML. However, this study also reveals that very few companies integrated the Environmental Management Systems with cleaner production processes.Las siguientes líneas muestran el resultado de la indagación preliminar del estado del arte de los sistemas de gestión realizada dentro del marco del proyecto de investigación “Caracterización de los Sistemas de Gestión Ambiental y su integración con los Procesos de Producción Más Limpia (PML) en las medianas y grandes Empresas del Sector Productivo de Pereira y Dosquebradas”.
