Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2009La ciudad de pasto y el valle de Atríz forman el escenario del IV concurso de vivienda económica (convive) a través de la revista escala, la sociedad colombiana de arquitectos, la Asociación colombiana de facultades de Arquitectura y el Concejo profesional nacional de Arquitectura y sus profesiones auxiliares. El concurso cuenta con el apoyo de un grupo institucional constituido por la dirección de gestión del riesgo. El equipo técnico de Naciones Unidas para emergencia, la gerencia del proceso Galeras, la alcaldía de Pasto y gobernación de Nariño. El concurso de carácter académico que convocó facultades y programas de arquitectura de Ecuador y Colombia, se realizará en el valle de Atríz, territorio que alberga la ciudad de Pasto y otros 24 centros poblados, el objetivo es el de desarrollar una propuesta urbana y arquitectónica de carácter pre-profesional, es decir estudiantes de pregrado, destinada al reasentamiento rural colectivo para la población que habita el área de influencia del volcán Galeras también conocida como Zava (zona de amenaza volcánica alta) en esta edición el concurso aboga por la inclusión de las variables territoriales, geográficas, ambientales, urbanas, arquitectónicas, sociales y económicas si no que también exhorta a los participantes a que tengan en cuenta el valor patrimonial de la región fruto de las profundas relaciones que existen en el valle de Atríz entre comunidad, territorio, patrimonio natural y cultural. Es importante destacar que este punto geográfico ha sido históricamente un lugar de encuentro y hoy se observa como esta connotación muestra la conexión entre la región Andina, Pacífica y Amazónica. Cuyo hito principal es el volcán Galeras, el cual esta cargado de muchos simbolismos, también es el punto de acceso desde el sur del continente, es el canalizador de todas las costumbres andinas, costumbres que hasta hoy hacen parte de la vida cotidiana de gran parte de la población que habita esta región. / Abstract: The city of Pasto and the Atriz valley create the setting for the IV economic housing competition (Convive) through the escala magazine, the Colombian society of architects, the Colombian association of faculties of architecture and the national council of architecture and its professional careers. The competition has the support of an institutional group integrated by the risk management commission, the technical team for emergencies, process Galeras council, the municipality of Pasto and the government of Nariño. The competition has an academic character and it summoned architecture programs and faculties from Colombia and Ecuador to study the territory that contains the city of Pasto and 24 other settlements, the objective is developing a new pre-professional urban and architectonic proposal, ie undergrad students, intended to the collective rural resettlement of the population living in the area of influence of Galeras volcano also known as Zava (volcanic high threat area) in this opportunity the competition is promoting the including of those territorial variables, such as geographical, environmental, urban, architectural, social and economic, it also urged the participants to note the value of the assets of this region and its profound relationships between the valley of Atriz and the community, their natural and cultural heritage.
