It was a mixed phenomenological investigation developed in two phases: a survey was applied to characterize the students, it was observed that the reflective style predominated in 64.3% and a focus group was held to know the opinion of the students about the implemented methodology . The type of learning makes teachers train and use appropriate strategies with the styles of each student.El objetivo de la investigación fue identificar los estilos de aprendizaje en estudiantes de práctica asistencial del Instituto INEC de Pereira, con una muestra de catorce estudiantes con un promedio inferior a 3.9. Se trató de una investigación mixta fenomenológica desarrollada en dos fases: se aplicó una encuesta para caracterizar a los estudiantes, se observó que predominó el estilo reflexivo en un 64.3 % y se realizó un grupo focal para conocer la opinión de los estudiantes sobre la metodología implementada.
