El planteamiento central gira en torno a la relación entre Caldeo y Platón y respalda una tesis que se pretende de la lectura de Koyré, y es la de pensar que entre el pensamiento antiguo y el pensamiento moderno (galileano) no hay ruptura, sino, por el contrario, continuidad.
