Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2009El proyecto se enfocó específicamente en resaltar la talla como técnica en la producción de muebles actuales, dándole importancia al trabajo artesanal que ha sido realizado por tantos años, para que esté presente en la producción industrial de muebles y que no sea olvidado por las generaciones actuales. Para poder lograr un buen resultado se generó una estructura conceptual que pudiera permitir la innovación en nuevos productos gracias al fortalecimiento en el conocimiento tradicional de los artesanos; y que desde el diseño industrial se generaran nuevas alternativas que pudieran combinar las formas tradicionales con las tendencias actuales para captar un nuevo tipo de mercado, La estructura conceptual se construyó utilizando los conceptos más importantes y pertinentes para la realización de todo el trabajo; dichos conceptos fueron la estética y la artesanía y su relación con el diseño y la talla en madera, para así poder lograr el objetivo deseado. La idea principal fue la de relacionar la estética, que es la cualidad especifica de la percepción y la que da la explicación o sustentación para generar formas “no necesarias” en un objeto, las artesanías, que son modos de producción, distribución y consumo de la cultura y el diseño, que busca generar nuevos productos que además de ser funcionales contengan una forma que comunique algo al usuario. De esto se puede concluir que tanto la artesanía como el diseño buscan generar objetos con el fin de que alguien los adquiera y que se dé un equilibrio entre el uso y la satisfacción estética./ Abastract: The project focused specifically on highlighting carving as a technique in the production of current furniture, giving importance to the craftsmanship that has been carried out for so many years, so that it is present in the industrial production of furniture and is not forgotten by current generations. . In order to achieve a good result, a conceptual structure was generated that could allow innovation in new products thanks to the strengthening of the traditional knowledge of the artisans; and that new alternatives were generated from industrial design that could combine traditional forms with current trends to capture a new type of market. The conceptual structure was built using the most important and pertinent concepts to carry out all the work; These concepts were aesthetics and craftsmanship and their relationship with design and woodcarving, in order to achieve the desired objective. The main idea was to relate the aesthetics, which is the specific quality of perception and the one that gives the explanation or support to generate "unnecessary" forms in an object, the crafts, which are modes of production, distribution and consumption of culture and design, which seeks to generate new products that, in addition to being functional, contain a form that communicates something to the user.
