La capital risaraldense, como muchas otras ciudades del país, enfrenta desafíos significativos en dichos términos. Este fenómeno puede manifestarse de varias maneras, como la prostitución forzada, el turismo sexual y la pornografía infantil. Los factores que contribuyen a esta problemática incluyen la pobreza, la falta de oportunidades económicas, la desigualdad de género y la violencia intrafamiliar. Esta investigación periodística examina la problemática de la explotación sexual de niñas y adolescentes mujeres en Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia. El estudio busca analizar las causas, consecuencias, afectaciones y las medidas implementadas para combatir esta grave violación de los derechos de la niñez. Mediante el uso de fuentes primarias y secundarias, se recopilaron datos sobre los casos de explotación sexual, se realizaron entrevistas a expertos, autoridades y víctimas, y se visitaron lugares donde ocurren estas prácticas. Las consecuencias de esta explotación incluyen daños físicos y psicológicos, trastornos emocionales y dificultades para reintegrarse en la sociedad. El estudio también destaca las acciones tomadas por las autoridades y organizaciones locales para abordar el problema. Se han implementado programas de prevención, atención y protección de las víctimas, así como medidas para fortalecer la legislación y promover la denuncia de estos delitos. Sin embargo, persisten desafíos como la falta de recursos, la impunidad y la falta de conciencia pública. Abstract: Sexual exploitation in Pereira, Colombia, is a serious problem that affects vulnerable individuals, especially women and girls. Pereira, like many other cities in the country, faces significant challenges in terms of commercial sexual exploitation. Sexual exploitation can take various forms, such as forced prostitution, sex tourism, and child pornography. Factors contributing to this issue include poverty, lack of economic opportunities, gender inequality, and domestic violence. This investigative journalism examines the issue of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia. The study aims to analyze the causes, consequences, impacts, and measures implemented to combat this grave violation of children's rights. Primary and secondary sources were used to gather data on cases of sexual exploitation, conduct interviews with experts, authorities, and victims, and visit locations where these practices occur. The consequences of this exploitation include physical and psychological harm, emotional disorders, and difficulties in reintegrating into society. The study also highlights the actions taken by local authorities and organizations to address the problem. Prevention, assistance, and victim protection programs have been implemented, along with measures to strengthen legislation and promote reporting of these crimes.
