Facultad de Ciencias Humanas, Sociales y de la Educación, Pereira, 2018.Este artículo presenta el estudio de caso de un proyecto de educación ambiental y cultural, desarrollado en una comunidad de Frailes, Dosquebradas, denominado AL RITMO DE LA BASURA. Inicialmente, se realizó una relación de la filosofía de la Corporación Escuela Rodante, proponente del proyecto, con el desarrollo Humano, con el fin de articular los procesos corporativos, con esta teoría. Posteriormente, se construyó una reflexión teórica de las consecuencias socioambientales del desarrollo convencional y la pertinencia de abordar el Desarrollo Humano y el Enfoque de las Capacidades, en los diferentes contextos educativos y ambientales, para contribuir al bienestar humano de las comunidades. Finalmente, se hizo un análisis del estudio de caso, desde las teorías de Amartya Sen y Martha Nussbaum, para identificar cuáles fueron los aportes del proyecto desarrollado, a la comunidad participante. Para ello, se hizo uso de la entrevista estructurada y la narración de siete participantes del proyecto, tres niños/as entre los 11 y 13 años, una madre de familia y dos talleristas. Dichas narraciones fueron analizadas, tomando como referencia las diez capacidades propuestas por Martha Nussbaum. Uno de los principales resultados fue la identificación de las capacidades específicas promovidas durante la ejecución del proyecto, tanto en niños/as, como talleristas y padres de familia. \ Abstract: This article presents the case study of an environmental and cultural education project, developed in a community of Frailes, Dosquebradas, called AL RITMO DE LA TRASH. Initially, a relationship was made of the philosophy of the Rolling School Corporation, proponent of the project, with the Human development, in order to articulate the corporate processes, with this theory. Subsequently, a theoretical reflection of the socio-environmental consequences of conventional development and the pertinence of addressing Human Development and the Capacity Approach, in the different educational and environmental contexts, was built to contribute to the human wellbeing of the communities. Finally, an analysis of the case study was made, from the theories of Amartya Sen and Martha Nussbaum, to identify the contributions of the developed project to the participating community. For this, the structured interview and the narration of seven project participants, three children between 11 and 13 years old, a mother of family and two workshop participants were used. These narrations were analyzed, taking as reference the ten capacities proposed by Martha Nussbaum.
