Mediante la aplicación de metodologías cuali-cuantitativas se procuró un núcleo central de las representaciones sociales sobre el suicidio, que fueron identificadas previamente en procesos investigativos vinculados al tema que sirvieron de insumo e inspiración para el desarrollo de este proyecto. A través del análisis de variables se pudo concluir que el núcleo de las representaciones sociales en cuestión tiene que ver con las relaciones familiares y el entorno próximo afectivo de los estudiantes, otras variables como la educación y la espiritualidad aparecen como aspectos importantes en la representación social de la decisión suicida. Así las cosas; se refuerza la importancia de la familia y sus dinámicas intra-grupales, como la afectividad y espiritualidad, en el proceso de formación en todos los aspectos del joven adulto que se prepara para confrontar difíciles situaciones en su futuro profesional. Abstract:The following article of must like intention present/display the results of the investigation related to social representations on the suicide between students of the Catholic University of Pereira. By means of the application of cuali-quantitative methodologies a central nucleus of the social representations was procured on the suicide, that were identified previously in tie investigativos processes to the subject which they served as I ooze and inspiration for the development of this project. Through analysis of variables it was possible to be concluded that the nucleus of the social representations at issue has to do with the familiar relations and entrono next affective of the students, other variables as the education and the espiritualidad appear as important aspects in the social representation of the suicidal decision. Thus the things; one reinforces the dynamic importance of the family and its intra-group ones, like the affectivity and espiritualidad, in the process of formation in all the aspects of the young adult who prepares itself to confront difficult situations in his professional future.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
