This experience was carried out with reference to a previous diagnosis, which made it possible to characterize the situation of the population and to define the problem, which was approached from three aspects: the identification of the perception about school violence, awareness of the importance of Respect among equals and the promotion of it as a fundamental part in the development of citizens’ competences. It is worth mentioning that this whole process was mainstreamed by the exploration of the subjectivity and the sensitivity of the children with respect to this subject, throwing interesting lines with respect to the importance of addressing this problem, not only from the theoretical approaches, but also, since The way children experience and build their ways of relating to their social realitySe describe una experiencia didáctica desarrollada con estudiantes de grado 6º de la Institución Educativa Santa Ana de los Caballeros (Ansermanuevo, Valle), dirigida a la prevención de la violencia escolar, a través de la elaboración de caricaturas publicadas en línea. Basada en un diagnóstico previo, se caracterizó la población y se definió la problemática, desde tres aspectos: identificación de la percepción sobre violencia escolar, sensibilización sobre la importancia del respeto entre iguales y promoción del mismo para el desarrollo de competencias ciudadanas.
