This document contributes to this objective under the concept of reuse, in order to take advantage of available resources and reduce consumption rates. After raising the problem and collecting the information required during the fieldwork at the Indalecio Penilla Educational Institution, Manuela Beltrán campus (Cartago, Valle), existing typologies on children’s furniture and recreational-pedagogical elements were analyzed, viable design alternatives were projected and they were selected according to a matrix created under the design requirements. The proposed solution is responsible with the environment and supports the improvement of educational quality within the classroom.La educación en las edades tempranas debe representar un punto importante en la responsabilidad social que poseen los diseñadores industriales. En este documento se contribuye a ese objetivo bajo el concepto de reutilización, con el fin de aprovechar recursos disponibles y disminuir los índices de consumo. Después de plantear la problemática y recoger la información requerida durante el trabajo de campo en la Institución Educativa Indalecio Penilla, sede Manuela Beltrán (Cartago, Valle), se analizaron tipologías existentes sobre mobiliario infantil y elementos lúdico-pedagógicos, se proyectaron alternativas de diseño viables y se seleccionaron según una matriz creada bajo los requerimientos de diseño.
