Summary: | This research has as object of study the visual communication of the posters ofthe main OTT video platforms in Spain: Netflix and HBO. For it, has been defineda sample of 80 series of the drama and comedy genres issued in the 2009-2017period. Through the methodology of content analysis, 46 variables have beenregistered, mostly formal, but also other latent variables such as graphic and verbalallusion or language. The results obtained have shown the existence of significantdifferences in the design of the drama and comedy posters prevailing, in each case,specific resources that allow the proper communication of the genre through thecolor, the lighting, the framing or the stage. |
