Under the life history technique, a series of semi-structured interviews will be conducted with indigenous students belonging to the Universidad del valle - Sede Palmira, and people belonging to the university context (student representatives, university welfare, ethnic affairs, etc.), These data were analyzed through the qualitative data analysis software, Atlas Ti, under the strategy of content analysis, which will make it possible to show which are the aspects that stand out most in the discourse of young indigenous students, which allow to demonstrate what has been the work of this in the support of indigenous students and how it influences the construction of identity. Since this is an ongoing research, there is not enough structured information under the processes relevant to the work to obtain a solid conclusion, however, certain results and partial conclusions have emerged at present to make a hypothesis of the case.La presente investigación pretende analizar la influencia que tiene en la construcción identitaria de los estudiantes de comunidades indígenas de la Universidad del Valle - Sede Palmira, el abandonar temporalmente sus territorios de origen. Bajo la técnica historia de vida, se realizará una serie de entrevistas semiestructuradas a estudiantes indígenas pertenecientes a la Universidad del Valle - Sede Palmira, y personas pertenecientes al contexto universitario (representantes estudiantiles, bienestar universitario, asuntos étnicos, etc.), analizados por medio del software de análisis de datos cualitativos Atlas Ti, bajo la estrategia de análisis de contenido, que permitirá evidenciar cuáles son los aspectos que más destacan en el discurso de los jóvenes estudiantes indígenas, que permitan evidenciar cuál ha sido la labor de esta en el apoyo a los estudiantes indígenas y cómo influye en la construcción identitaria.
