Existían otros factores externos que afectaban los tiempos de traslado de las piezas para realizar el proceso de pintura electrostática como los paros, accidentes de tránsito, el tiempo de traslado se duplica cuando se presentaban defectos de acabado y devolución de las piezas para reprocesar, lo que ocurría en un 20% de las piezas pintadas. Debido a la problemática planteada la empresa ha decidido centralizar el proceso de pintura en pro de mejorar costos de producción, mejorar la calidad y garantizar el cumplimiento de las entregas. Para la centralización del proceso de pintura electroestática se requiere un despliegue de actividades tanto de la operación propia del proceso de pintura como actividades de apoyo para obtener un proceso de pintura electrostática viable técnica y financieramente. Abstract: The project consisted of providing answers to the problems of the Met Group company, where the electrostatic painting process was 100% outsourced, the pieces had to be sent to the supplier located in the city of Dosquebradas in the industrial zone, this generated delays due to transportation times and also for the supplier's failure to comply with delivery times and reprocessing due to quality defects in the transportation processes. There were other external factors that affected the transfer times of the pieces to carry out the electrostatic painting process, such as stoppages, traffic accidents, the transfer time is doubled when there are finishing defects and the return of the pieces to be reprocessed, which it occurred in 20% of the painted pieces. In search of a solution, the company has decided to centralize the painting process in order to improve production costs, improve quality and guarantee compliance with clients. For the solution to the bottleneck generated by the outsourcing of the painting service, the purchase of equipment is required, the factory adaptation, training and staff training, purchase of tools, development of suppliers, creation of instructions that allow control of the variability of the process, elements of measurement, test specimens and laboratory tests.
