Debido a esto el objetivo de este estudio ha sido analizar cómo es la Inteligencia emocional de los docentes universitarios de la Universidad Católica de Pereira en el 2023. Se ha utilizado la escala de medición TMMS-24 que recolecta datos de tipo autoinforme, esta fue aplicada por medio de un cuestionario que permitió obtener 57 participantes cuyas edades estaban comprendidas entre los 24 y 69 años (M=46.5). Esta investigación es descriptiva con un diseño no experimental. Los resultados, mostraron, según las categorías de atención, reparación y claridad emocional que los docentes de la universidad Católica de Pereira tienen una inteligencia emocional adecuada, con lo cual se puede pensar en futuras investigaciones que aborden este eje de investigación con otras variables. Abstrac: The study of emotional intelligence has become relevant in the research field due to the different approaches that can be used to address it. For this reason, more and more research on emotional intelligence in teachers can be found. Therefore, the objective of this study has been to analyze the emotional intelligence of university teachers at the Universidad Católica de Pereira in 2023. The TMMS-24 measurement scale was used to collect self-report data, which was applied through a questionnaire that allowed for the selection of 57 participants between the ages of 24 and 69 years (M=46.5). This research is descriptive with a non-experimental design. The results showed that, according to the categories of attention, emotional repair, and emotional clarity, the teachers at the Universidad Católica de Pereira have adequate emotional intelligence.
