Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2007El presente proyecto surgió gracias a una visita realizada al cultivo de gérberas “Margaritas transvaal”, ubicado en el corregimiento de La Florida en Pereira. Se analizaron todas las debilidades que existían en los procesos de recolección, almacenaje, transporte y distribución, como los problemas de salud por la mala postura al momento de arrancar la flor, como la carencia de un elemento especial para introducir las flores después del corte, como la excesiva manipulación de las flores, pero sobresaliendo entre todas estas, la falta de un embalaje funcional que proteja las flores durante el traslado y la distribución a los puntos de venta, llegando a la conclusión, junto con los trabajadores del cultivo encargados de todos los procesos ya citados, que la solución para garantizar una excelente calidad a los compradores y contratar con muchos más, es utilizando un embalaje que proteja las flores desde el acopio hasta los puntos de venta o floristerías./ Abstract: The present project arose thanks to a visit made to the gerbera cultivation "Margaritas transvaal", located in the corregimiento of La Florida in Pereira. All the weaknesses that existed in the collection, storage, transportation and distribution processes were analyzed, such as health problems due to poor posture when picking the flower, such as the lack of a special element to introduce the flowers after cutting, such as the excessive handling of flowers, but standing out among all of these, the lack of functional packaging that protects the flowers during transport and distribution to the points of sale, reaching the conclusion, together with the crop workers in charge of all the processes already mentioned, that the solution to guarantee excellent quality to buyers and contract with many more, is to use a packaging that protects the flowers from the collection to the points of sale or florists.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
