Dicho estudio consta de tres partes: la primera parte a modo de contextualización realiza una revisión de la literatura sobre la democracia y su efecto en el crecimiento económico. La segunda parte describe los hechos políticos e históricos y caracteriza los hechos estilizados del crecimiento económico del Estado colombiano, tomando como fundamento teórico para el análisis, la democracia y el crecimiento económico comprendido desde el institucionalismo, entendido como el conjunto de reglas, normas, entre otros; por último se realiza el planteamiento de un modelo multivariado, cuyas variables serán delimitadas de acuerdo a la revisión de antecedentes que se hace en primer momento. / Abstract: The present work makes an analysis of the relationship between democracy and economic growth in the case study of Colombia. This study has three parts: the first part in the contextualization mode is a review of the literature on democracy and its effect on economic growth. The second part describes the political and historical facts and characterizes the stylized facts of the economic growth of the Colombian State, taking as a theoretical basis for the analysis, the democracy and the economic growth understood from the institutionalism; finally, the multivariate model is presented, whose variables will be delimited according to the background check that is done in the first moment.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
