One of those challenges is the conception, design and performance of evaluations through virtual means. This article addresses some reflections in this regard and proposes a conceptual and practical methodology to be successful in this new environment mediated by ICT. The results raise the need to reconceptualize the evaluation in the disciplinary subjects of engineering. It is concluded that it is possible to achieve even greater learning, if a series of strategies are used that allow the teacher to evaluate fairly, within a coherent framework and making evaluation an instrument for learning.La era Covid19, con todas sus restricciones y condiciones, ha puesto retos en todas las esferas de la sociedad y la educación no ha sido la excepción, especialmente para los ingenieros docentes que se forman como ingenieros pero ejercen como docentes y que comparten sus conocimientos en programas de Ingeniería. Uno de esos retos es la concepción, diseño y realización de evaluaciones a través de medios virtuales. El presente artículo aborda unas reflexiones al respecto y propone una metodología conceptual y práctica para ser exitoso en este nuevo entorno mediado por TIC. Los resultados plantean la necesidad de reconceptualizar la evaluación en las asignaturas disciplinares propias de la ingeniería.
