Summary: | This article, is a result of the investigation “Contemporary architecture in Medellín”, recounts the research and pedagogical experience of the project and the construction of small architectural spaces by the students of the first year of the Faculty of Architecture. Student reflects on the relationship between art and tectonics, between ethics and aesthetics, on the social and ecological role of our profession. The construction exercise on a real scale generates a series of considerations that are blurred in the traditional context of the design development of a project workshop: considerations on the material reuse, the relationship with the light and the adjacent landscape; to the ergonomic and climatic comfort and to the structural resistance. |
