Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2007El proyecto, Potabilización de Agua por medio de Energía Solar, se dirige a las zonas rurales del Municipio de Pereira en donde los pobladores no tengan acceso al agua potable, o en su defecto, el servicio que les preste el acueducto rural no cumple con las normas establecidas por el Decreto 1575 por el cual se establece el sistema para la protección y control de la calidad del agua para consumos humano. Este incumplimiento de normas, y falta de servicios básicos, han generado en la comunidad enfermedades debido a los vertimientos industriales y domésticos, presencia de agroquímicos, y demás desechos que se arrojan diariamente a los ríos y bocatomas, las cuales son fuentes tanto para acueductos como para viviendas. Estos factores generan enfermedades diarreicas, en los dientes, y favorecen la propagación de otras como el cólera. El desarrollo de un potabilizador de agua para estas personas es de vital importancia, si lo que se pretende es mejorar la calidad de vida de los habitantes de las zonas rurales. El proyecto favorece a los usuarios directos por medio de la potabilización del agua para su consumo en alimentos y bebidas, igualmente se tienen en cuenta factores de diseño, ergonómicos y de costos, que lo hacen viable para el sector al cual se dirige. Por otro lado favorece el cuidado al medio ambiente, debido a que su funcionamiento es por medio de energía solar, la cual, es una energía limpia, gratuita e inagotable; reduciendo el uso de químicos, combustibles y otras energías que aportan en diferentes grados a la contaminación ambiental y sus consecuencias./ Abstract: The project, Potabilization of Water through Solar Energy, is aimed at rural areas of the Municipality of Pereira where residents do not have access to drinking water, or failing that, the service provided by the rural aqueduct does not comply with the regulations established by Decree 1575 by which the system for the protection and control of the quality of water for human consumption is established. This breach of regulations and lack of basic services have generated diseases in the community due to industrial and domestic discharges, the presence of agrochemicals, and other waste that is thrown daily into rivers and intakes, which are sources for both aqueducts and homes. These factors generate diarrheal diseases, in the teeth, and favor the spread of others such as cholera. The development of a water purifier for these people is of vital importance, if the aim is to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of rural areas. The project favors direct users through the purification of water for consumption in food and beverages, design, ergonomic and cost factors are also taken into account, which make it viable for the sector to which it is directed. On the other hand, it favors the care of the environment, because its operation is through solar energy, which is a clean, free and inexhaustible energy; reducing the use of chemicals, fuels and other energies that contribute in different degrees to environmental pollution and its consequences.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
