Sin embargo, sobresale que la mayoría de estudios que relacionan la depresión con la interferencia cognitivo-motora (ICM) abarcan poblaciones clínicas y mayores; además, la investigación vinculando la impulsividad y la doble tarea es aún incipiente. Así pues, esta investigación tuvo dos objetivos: a) evaluar las diferencias en la ICM entre adultos jóvenes aparentemente sanos, con sintomatología depresiva e impulsiva (alta vs. baja) y b) valorar los posibles efectos de las interacciones sintomatología depresiva-impulsiva y sexo sobre la ICM. Se hipotetizó que existen diferencias en la ICM entre adultos jóvenes con sintomatología depresiva e impulsiva alta vs. baja; y que al introducir la variable sexo a dichas comparaciones, se conservarían las diferencias encontradas. Fue un estudio No-Experimental – transversal con una muestra intencional de 157 adultos, para cuya ejecución se aplicó un cuestionario de variables sociodemográficas, tres pruebas psicométricas y el paradigma de TD. Los resultados respaldaron parcialmente las hipótesis, encontrando algunas diferencias esperadas; por ejemplo, los participantes con mayor sintomatología depresiva tardaron más en completar la TD motora-motora, y en promedio, acertaron menos en la tarea cognitivo-motora. Al introducir la variable sexo, aparecieron dos diferencias en la ICM comparada entre participantes con sintomatología impulsiva alta vs. baja. Abstract: There is extensive scientific literature on depression and its impact on cognitive/executive performance and on dual tasks; and to a lesser extent, some articles state that high impulsiveness can trigger similar alterations. However, it stands out that the majority of studies that relate depression to cognitive-motor interference (CMI) cover clinical and older populations; furthermore, research linking impulsivity and dual tasking is still incipient. Thus, this research had two objectives: a) to evaluate the differences in the CMI between apparently healthy young adults, with high vs. low depressive and impulsive symptomatology and b) to assess the possible effects of the depressive-impulsive symptomatology and sex interactions on the CMI. It was hypothesized that there are differences in the CMI between young adults with high vs. low depressive and impulsive symptomatology; and that by introducing the sex variable to these comparisons, the differences found would be preserved. It was a Non-Experimental - cross-sectional study with an intentional sample of 157 adults, for whose execution a questionnaire of sociodemographic variables, three psychometric tests and the DT paradigm were applied. Results partially supported the hypotheses, finding some expected differences; for example, participants with more depressive symptomatology took longer to complete the motor-motor DT, and, on average, they got less correct answers in the cognitive-motor task.
