Facultad de Ciencias Humanas, Sociales y de la Educación, Pereira, 2017El presente artículo hace parte de la Investigación mayor La mediación de los relatos mediáticos en las formas de habitar el territorio en los pobladores de la región del eje cafetero (Burgos, Suarez y Millán, 2014), cuyo objetivo consiste en analizar las formas en que los relatos mediáticos de La región son apropiados por sus pobladores, llevando esto a que ellos mismos desarrollen sus propias narrativas, con las que posteriormente re significan el territorio habitado. Al hablar de región se habla de una “experiencia colectiva del espacio vivido”, por eso, cuando los relatos son apropiados por una comunidad se generan símbolos que dan sentido al paisaje. Este artículo es resultado del pilotaje de los instrumentos que serán usados por la investigación mayor y en éste se toma como herramienta principal La historia oral. En esencia, se trata de tomar los relatos de las personas y a partir de ellos encontrar un significado en algo, que para la el presente trabajo se trata de lo mediático y del paisaje. En esta metodología no se contempla selección de muestras estadísticas ni del dato para generalizar. Todo lo contrario, esta es una metodología cualitativa, y con ella se busca mirar como para un individuo algo es significativo, como algo se llena de símbolos; porque se basa en que, lo que vive un individuo puede representar lo que otros sujetos también pudieron vivir. Como aporte a la investigación mayor se recomienda replantear las entrevistas, con preguntas que lleven a enfocar a la fuente a sus experiencias relacionadas con la mediatización.
